On May 30, 2020, we (as well as several other companies) experienced an SSL certificate expiry issue** on one of our servers. This resulted in many customers' cameras going offline, firmware unable to be updated and the inability to log into the app among other things.
This issue affected camera models across the board - not just one specific model.
As of Sunday, May 31st, the issue has been resolved. All functions are now back to normal and users with cameras that are offline can now reset those cameras to bring them back online. We understand how frustrating this sort of situation can be. The cameras are, afterall, home monitoring devices and having them offline doesn't assist anyone in that capacity.
Please note that we have an incredibly small team for such a large business and we did what we could to get this resolved in a timely manner. We value everyone reaching out and answering our questions so we could pinpoint where the issue was stemming from.
