Changing Wifi Channel using AmpliFi HD Router
Yesterday I had many problems setting up two Lynx Indoor v1 cameras. Overnight one of them went and stayed offline (we had a power drop). This morning it would not reconnect, even within a few inches of the router. On a whim, I powered off the other camera (it was on a UPS). Then neither camera would reconnect within a few inches of the router (I recycled power about 3 times each)
Now I suspected a router compatiblility issue. I changed the wifi channel from 3 to 11 and that made all the difference in the world. Both cameras have been power cycled several times and they both lock quickly.
Even though it works I am stumped why channel 3 was a problem. I use a wifi scanner on my Mac (AirRadar) and my house is the only one in the neighborhood using channel 3. Plus I have a ring doorbell camera, ring chime, two nest smoke detectors and a sprinkler controller on the wifi and they all were rock solid. I think that the v1 cameras have radios that work better on some channels than others. Just an opinion.
Regardless, I thought I would pass along my experience in case it might help someone else. My router is a new AmpliFi HD mesh router. May be a router compatibility issue with this particular router model, but I kinda doubt it.

My ring camera and tend cameras were bought and setup after I got the AmpliFI HD router. If you replace the router I believe that in both cases (ring and Tend cameras) that there are reset buttons that you hold down for 15 seconds or so to reenter setup mode through their respective apps to setup for the new router.
